The Computer Studies: Adobe Certification Training in Photoshop Skills Certificate provides a course of study in the graphics program, Photoshop. This program of study helps prepare the student to take the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) and Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) industry exams for Photoshop.
A Photoshop ACA has earned a certification that validates entry-level skills in visual communication. A Photoshop ACE has earned a certification that validates expert-level skills. Both certifications indicate a significant depth and breadth of Photoshop knowledge and experience and enhance the recipients' value in the job market.
These digital media skills are applicable to many careers including photographer, digital art, web page designer, desktop publishing, and video producer.
More information about Computer Studies programs can be found at the Computer Studies Department website.
Upon successful completion of this certificate, the student will be able to:

Students interested in a suggested order for taking classes in this program, please view the recommended course sequence website.
It is important that students who are completing an Associate Degree and desire to transfer to a four-year institution meet with a counselor to plan their lower division coursework. While many majors at SRJC are intended to align with lower division major preparation required by California public universities, specific lower-division major requirements vary among individual campuses. See a counselor, visit the Transfer Center, and check Guides For Transfer in Specific Majors, and ASSIST to review transfer preparation guides for specific schools and majors.
