Description:
The Wine Studies: Wine Evaluation and Service Certificate of Achievement prepares students for skills such as serving wine according to professional standards, planning and effectively publicizing wine industry events, and the ability to discuss wine regions and characteristics of grape varieties suited to those regions.
This program prepares students for a variety of positions in the wine industry, including but not limited to: Hospitality Assistant, Hospitality Manager, Tasting Room Assistant Manager, Tasting Room Manager, Wine Educator, Wine Consultant, Tour Guide, Wine Club Administrator, Event Staffer, Wine Hospitality Staffer, Sales Specialist in Wines, Winery Assistant, Visitor Center Representative.
For students interested in an Associate degree, a Wine Studies: Wine Evaluation and Service major is available.

It is important that students who are completing an Associate Degree and desire to transfer to a four-year
institution meet with a counselor to plan their lower division coursework. While many majors at SRJC are
intended to align with lower division major preparation required by California public universities,
specific lower-division major requirements vary among individual campuses. See a
